spring updates 2011

I am very excited about Disney's new ship the Dream. She is registered at 130,000 tons and carries about

4,000 passengers. She has 14 decks and quests are greeted by a bronze statue of "Admiral Donald Duck",

which is the centerpiece of  this new ship. Nearly every square foot of the Dream is dedicated to

entertainment. It's one of the things that make this ship distinct. The Walt Disney theater holds 1,340

and is one of the most sophisticated entertainment venues on land or sea. It offers performances of

three live production shows every day of the cruise, so there's always an opportunity to see the main

show. There is also a state of the art movie theater, the Buena Vista Theater (399 capacity), which

offers multiple daily showings of first-run Disney films, including many in 3-D.

Disney introduced rotational dining, where the guests move to a new restaurant each night along with

their wait staff, when Disney Magic made its debut in 1998. For adults, Disney offers its very first two-

star Michelin chef, Arnaud Lallement from Reims France. Disney Dream has a large version of Palo,

which is an adult only restaurant..

Disney has extensive pool area with facilities for every age. They have the family pool Donald's pool,

Mickey's pool for children and Nemo's Reef water-play area for younger children. There is a Quiet cove

pool for adults, complete with hot tubs overlooking the sea. They also have the Senses Spa that covers

spa services in every form and fashion. Also has a 16,000 square foot fitness center. There's also a

special spa for teens only!!!!

Every age of children is coverd for activities and there is not enough room to cover this area. Please don't

think teens are not treated special...there is a Vibe teen club, complete with hot tubs, a dance floor,

and media entertainment  rooms. Also has adult zone on Deck 4, with bars and nightclubs  called the

District. I haven't enough begun to cover the accommodations, I don't have room for all the many

choices of cabins, with the first ship to offer concierge level, offering 21 suites. Most suites connect

to another stateroom. The Dream's itinerary is three, four, and 5 nite sailings to the Bahamas, departing

from Port Canaveral and calling Nassau and Castaway Cay, Disney's private island.

When Disney puts its name on a product you can expect the BEST !!!!!!!
